Learn About People in Motion

Our members come from around the world and our programs extend throughout the Okanagan Valley.

People In Motion is a local (Kelowna, BC) volunteer-driven, registered charitable organization, and as such, all donations go directly to our program operation. Our members consist of persons with disAbilities, physical, cognitive and sensory as well as seniors who require adaptive supports, and an annual $10 membership fee provides total program access.

Our People In Motion volunteers, employees and directors assist and encourage people with physical and sensory disAbilities, seniors with special needs and their families to participate in and contribute to their communities as much as they desire. Thus, People in Motion is involved with programs and services in adaptive recreation, lift-equipped transportation, adaptive equipment loans and providing online accessible resource information.

People In Motion hosts special events such as an annual wheelchair basketball tournament and annual jamboree, an annual power wheelchair soccer tournament, our annual Kids In Motion Family Fun Days (Winter and Summer) and our Ski-A-Thon that takes place on the first Sunday of March every year at beautiful Big White Ski Resort.

Our adaptive charter tours encourage networking and promote the importance of discovering new ways to get “Out & About” and enjoy healthy, active living. People In Motion’s “Out & About” Charter Tours are all-inclusive and we encourage and welcome all community members throughout the Okanagan to participate in our tours…
